Finishing Frenzy Continues

I've been busy finishing up this and that. Here is my flower washcloth. It was quick and easy and I think it would make a nice last minute gift if you need one. All the details are in the gallery.
This just goes to show that great minds think alike! Theresa made one of these on the same day that I did and we didn't even know it! Must have been a flower washcloth kind of day. He he!

I also finished up a Madeleine Bag (pattern available through ThreadBear) in Kureyon that I have had sitting around for a while. The Kureyon didn't felt enough for my taste the first time around to I threw it in the wash again and I think it came out pretty cute! It only took one skein of Kureyon, so it was another quick little project.

Here's a view from the back where you can see more of the color changes. Fancy, our kitten, had to get into the act. Isn't she a pretty kitty?

And finally here is our niece's Christmas gift. I told you I was on a finishing frenzy! It is a Booga Bag -- what else! I really love this color of Kureyon. It's #126 and the stripes in it seem thinner to me than other colors of Kureyon I have used. Makes for very interesting handles because they are quite multi-colored. I think the next bag I design in Kureyon will be knit in this colorway.
Speaking of bag designs. I am working on a felted fair-isle type bag using Kureyon and Cascade 220. I have already knit up the first sample and felted it. I just need to sew in the zipper (yes -- I'm tackling a zipper!) and tidy it up. Pictures soon!
I can't wait to see the felted fair isle bags. I love designing felted fair isles, so I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Great finishing. We're opposites I'm on a starting frenzy (which will need to be a finishing one in time for Christmas).
I love the teeny bag. One of your patterns I presume.

The bags and washcloth are terrific. I wish I was as productive as you lately Julie. I plan to make a few of those washcloths as well.

I love all of your projects...and I'm jealous because I haven't had time to knit in a couple of days! I am going to have to try one of those wash cloths...what a cute little gift idea to give with a bar of luxury soap!

I LOVE YOUR BAGS! The Madeline is adorable. :-) I just finished my first Booga in time for some lucky recipient to get it for Christmas (still deciding who will be worthy...). I just posted pix on my brand new blog if you'd like to check it out. Thanks for a wonderful pattern - easy to do, but makes a beginner like me look *really* good.

Hi, Julie! I couldn't help but comment when I saw my Christmas gift online! I can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten on it already-- and everyone's enamored that you made it yourself. "Wow- how did she DO that??" I must admit that it's fun to have something that even strangers (i.e. everyone at the hair salon) admire. Don't tell the parents, (they bought me a printer) but it's probably my favorite gift this year. Thank you so much! Happy New Year! Tell Uncle Pete and Maddie I say hi! Love, beth.
