We rented Garden State this past weekend. This should give you an idea of how good it was:
Me: So how old is Zach Braff?
Pete: I don't know. Why?
Me: Because I think I have a crush on him.
Pete: (turning to me with a very serious look on his face): I think *I* have a crush on him.
Lol! The move was excellent and Braff wrote, directed and starred in it. How could you *not* have a crush on this guy. Just brilliant.
And for all of you who come here for the knitting content -- which has sadly been quite pathetic as of late -- I actually have a photo of my Clapotis!

Now I'm off to play The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap.

What pretty Noro colors!! I keep thinking I have to do the Klaralund sometime, but I haven't found any Noro colorways that spoke to me. This one is calling my name! What number is it, and are you using Silk Garden or Kureyon?
Your Clapotis will be lovely when it is finished!

No way, I saw him first. But you should check out: http://gardenstate.typepad.com/zach_braffs_garden_state_/. It's great. The soundtrack is great as well.

Isn't that movie just incredible? I saw Garden State in theaters with some friends, and we've been crushing ever since. :) We're always amazed by the amount of people who have no idea who Zach Braff is.
Clapotis is looking great!

Ok, my clapotis is in my work bag and I played Bomberman last night rather than knit. Guess we have to give into our urges to slice something with a sword (my daughter's do Zelda) or blow something up....very theraputic!

He is 29 and turning 30 in April. I had a super-crush since seeing that movie a few months ago and he's my age and he lives in LA but I haven't run into him yet. Darn.

I love him on "Scrubs," too!

This is the first Clapotis I have seen in stripes - the Noro is turning out fab-u! Great knitting!

Zelda Minnish Cap? That's what's seriously holding up my knitting, I keep on getting the damn thing out for 'just 5 mins' and suddenly the whole evening has disappeared!
Dawn :) on the final element

Love the clapotis. Totally agree with your crush. He's brilliant.

I have been a devoted Scrubs fan since the first episode, so it was only logical that I fell in love with Garden State. I even preordered the DVD as a Christmas gift for my boy, who is similarly obsessed.

Assuming that's silk garden, does it soften up when you wash it? It's so pretty but it doesn't feel soft AT ALL to me.

I *loved* Minish Cap.
It was adorable!
... except finding all the kinfusions.. ugh that was annoying.

How funny! I rented that DVD the other day and plan to watch it tonight while I work on my Clapotis. Ha! Your's looks beautiful.

Wow, great colorway for the Clapotis! I've seen lots of colorways but this is one of the best.

do you every worry that someday you will do the same thing and drive away from the gas station with the nozzle still in? that made me chuckle, you would have to be VERY distracted.
i saw your silk garden purchase previously on your blog. when you mentioned it was for clapotis, and everyone is knitting clapotis, i felt like i had to as well! pulled out my silk garden from my stash today. think i may have to pick up a few extra though. your colorway is gorgeous!

Clapotis looks really good - almost as attractive as Zach. Even though he's sort of goofy looking, he is just lovely. And smart. And funny. OMG - I think I have a crush on him too !

Your clapotis is stunning. It's beginning to look like a must-knit for 2005. Color me jealous.

Firstly - Zach - simply put --- YUM.
YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUMMY YUM.
Secondly - Looking forward to seeing your finished Clapotis. Mine (see Sept 2004 in blog) is 95% done - I'm on the FINAL DECREASE - but hat to leave it home while I came here (now) to China for work. I added quite a bit to the length...so it's just to big to sport along in my carryon to Asia.
I used a space-dyed yarn from Japan. Yummy and soft.
Thirdly - Zach - simply put --- YUM.
YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUMMY YUM.
:-)

The Noro colorway in the picture is 84. (I know because it was one I considered - ended up choosing 50 for mine.)
