Cathay & a New Bag Design!

Asymetric_cathay

Look at that asymetric, purple-y goodness! Yep, I started the Debbie Bliss sweater in the new Cathay yarn. And I have to say that I do like the yarn quite a bit despite my prejudice against cotton. I couldn't knit for hours on this, mind you, but an hour here and there will be fine. And the design is just wonderful. So far the pattern has been clear and without errors. Yeah!

And what's this? A little wool to give my wrists and mind a rest. Good old felted bag comfort. It's like the mac & cheese of knitting for me. This is my latest design, and if all goes well it should be available in about a month. I'll post more soon!

Opal_royal

And a big thank you for Lisa over at blogdogblog for this wonderful gift! It's Opal Royal. First of all, I have never knit with Opal before, so I'm quite excited about that. And secondly it's sparkly! The colors are just perfect for me too. I can't wait to finish my Lorna's socks now so that I can cast on with this yarn! Thanks Lisa!

Can't wait to see the finished cathay sweater. That is the one I am drawn too. Let us know how the yarn works and wears!

great colours. looking forward to seeing the new back design! thanks for the book recommendations, there are quite a few i'd like to check out.

Cathay sweater looks great. Can't wait to see the finished product. Really looking forward to your next bag. I haven't made one of your bags-yet! I am planning on doing that soon. I actually have the yarn and pattern. I just have to finish up some projects.....

OOOooo!! The Cathay sweater looks very nice. My fave color. Does the yarn feel real cottony, or is it softer?

Ooh! Is the new design a bag?

Lovely Cathay!

Whatcha gonna knit with the sparkly Opal Royal?

Can't wait to see your new bag design. You can never have enough knit purses. Oooo, sparkly...

I love the look of that sweater... haven't been able to put my hands on the yarn yet, though.... I'm glad the yarn is good - I'll keep up on my search!

I've got the green Cathay to make the same...but I bet you will be finished before I ever get to cast on, so I am looking forward to watching it grow!
