A Gathering of Lace

Well I just purchased A Gathering of Lace, finally. Why do I say finally? Because I had this book in my Amazon Wishlist forever, but apparently I had the hardcover version listed. So here I thought it was hopelessly out of print and that I would have to pay $40 for a used copy, which I was not about to do. I just figured out that there was a new paperback version released this spring. Yipee! I'll give a full review when it arrives.

(Oh, and I also got the Handy Book of Knitting Patterns, which I will review too!)

Oh that is good news about Gathering of Lace out in paperback so I can finally buy it! I have the record for checking it out the most times from the library. I highly recommend the lace gloves - they're easy and really beautiful.

I must check out this lace book...if I can't knit it that much yet, I could read about it, right? Your knitting guild looks like fun too! Take care.

I was wondering if the hardback was out of print. I just picked up a very shopworn copy of it in hardback at a semi-LYS, but I guess it was probably a good deal all the same. Cool. :)

I have this book and am currently trying to decide between the Beginner's Triangle Shawl and the Faroese shawl on the front cover. I can't wait to see what you think of it when you get it.

It's been on my wishlist ever since I got to thumb through a copy. I just ordered mine as well, and it's scheduled to arrive next week. I can't wait!

I've been reluctant to buy this because of the huge number of corrections. Do you know if the reprint has fixed them? I can forgive a correction or two, but 5 pages worth?
