Here are my color samples all hanging out together. While I had a lot of fun the last time Theresa and I got together for dyeing, I think this time was much more successful. And let me tell you, that wasn't an accident. Good dyeing means a lot of prep work! More than half the day was spent getting the right tools and getting the dye stocks properly prepared. But the results were worth the effort, don't you agree?
Colorway 1 . . .

Colorway 2 . . .

Colorway 3 . . .

Colorway 4 . . .

Colorway 5 . . .

Colorway 6 . . .

Colorway 7 . . .

Hopefully I will start spinning these up tonight. Do you have a favorite? Is there one you would like to see me spin first? Leave me a comment and let me know. Then go over and take a look at Theresa's. I think my favorite colorway of the day was her intense red/orange/brown!

I want to eat colorway #4. Yummy. Please spin it. quickly!

And I want #1. I am so a lime green kinda girl. Gorgeous!

Mmm - #1 or #7. Greeeeeeeeeny goodness!

And I really love #5 - the browns/reds look very autumnal - which is always appealing to me!

I think No. 5 is going to be great - perhaps because it is echoing the colors my sugar maple is hinting at this morning....

4, but only because I"m wearing lime green today, and have been trying to branch out into other colors. Or at least other shades of green.
I keep saying I want to learn to spin, but I think I really just want a way to make wonderful yarn magically appear.

#4 and #1 ! I also like #5, but I am on an autumn kick like everyone else. :)

Ooh - colorway 1 is lovely. They all are, but I especially like that one.

#3 or #5. They're all lovely and for some reason I want to eat them. I know nothing about the creation of yarn. Do you have any idea how you are going to ply before you spin? Or do you base that decision on what the spun product looks like/feels like?

#5!! (But, if you look at my blog template, I'm sure that wouldn't surprise anyone!)

#6 cotton candy pink.

You and Theresa are killing me with all of this dyeing. I may have to dabble in some after the kids go back to school. And as for my vote, I say you should ply #6 with #7 (cause I love pink and green).

How fun is dyeing? And always so satisfying. You just can't go wrong. It is so exciting to spin it up and then you get to ply it and then you get to knit it, truly addicting ;D

I vote for #1 and #7. Just to beautiful to pick just one.
And you're lucky I didn't choose 3 of them.
I never can follow rules when it comes to yummy choices.

1, 3, 4, 5 and 7 all are terribly compelling to me, but I am really interested in seeing 1 & 4 spun up. 4 especially. You two did an amazing job! I love greens of all types, so most of your colorways just make me smile. :)

I love #7, because it's my fave color. Putting that aside, #5 is very subtle and pretty, and gets my vote!
