Antique Fireplace Thingy

When we moved into our old house last year, there was a big, heavy thing attached to the master bedroom fireplace.  We didn't know what it was really, so Pete sent in a picture to the Chicago Antiques Guide.  Today they featured it!  You can see the article, including a picture of what turned out to be a gas heater, here.
