I made a pillowcase yesterday for Maddie out of fabrics that she pulled from my stash. Can you tell that she likes it?
I did the whole, roll it up and sew a tube thing -- finishing it off with french seams. Super easy and a good project for practicing french seams, since size doesn't matter that much here.
I've had this project on my list for ages, and I'm glad I finally gave it a try. It was quick, easy and my girl is super happy with the results.

That's what I love about making crafts for kids - they really "get" the meaning of making something for a loved one. Just look at her happy face! (She looks sooo much like you!) I made hats for my nieces little boys a few Christmases ago & they wore them for the duration of the family party - running around & saying to everyone, "Look what Aunt Donna made for me - isnt it great!"
