I'm sorry to have done something wrong where this ring is concerned. I did read the instructions/rules carefully and I did take at least 2 minutes to read them. I did not read anything that said if you have a blog for over a month of time then did not post for at least a month that you couldn't join. I read that you have to have a blog up for at least a month before you can join. Then I read that if you want to stay a member you have to post at least once a week. Then it says if you fail to post at least once within a months time you will be put in the queue. (I know you already know the instructions/rules, I'm just stating what I understood) I wasn't in the queue at the time I tried to join. Call me stupid I guess but I read it the way it reads to me and I never felt that I was doing something wrong by trying to join after being away from a computer for x amount of time since my blog was nearly a year old anyway. And I was posting often as well since I got back online. If you mean that you have to have been actively blogging for at least a month prior to joining, not necessarily that your blog has to be a month or so old then I missed that and I'm sorry. I know you kept me on the queue until I reached the month time frame and that was nice of you, thank you. I just wanted to let you know that I did read the instructions/rules and what I understand of them. That I have read them carefully for at least 2 minutes and wouldn't intentionally disrupt the way things are done by not reading the instructions/rules. I just think it would save people from feeling stupid online (like I do now since the list is up that I was one of the ones who didn't take the time to read the rules) if they were a bit clearer where my situation is concerned. Thank you.

Boy am I glad I didn't try to join this knitting ring! I'd get my head chewed off if I moved, or was one day late in my posting! And if you are the "leader" of this ring your time is expected and required. You shouldn't make people feel rotten because your time is so important to only you. I think people here should stop trying to get into this ring and find a group of nicer people. And from the so called rules, it doesn't say anything about not being able to blog because of moving...so frankly...I don't care how precious your time is, or how """wonderful""" you think you are, cause you stink and your ring stinks.

Beth --

Hey! This isn't a public service. This is my ring. If you don't like it, please start your own or join a different one. I'm not trying to win a popularity contest so if you don't like me or the rules, I really don't care.

Thanks for working so hard at this. There are some many rings out there that become worthless because they aren't pruned regularly.

The main reason for my comment is that I noticed that the blog in the ring after my site is down.

Here is the URL of the site: http://www.moonwise.com/index.jsp

Thanks Amy! I just checked the site this morning and it's working, but the url in ringsurf is:

Cool - I think the domain renewal hadn't gone through as I was getting a domain expired page when I clicked next. Thanks for being so diligent!

Hi Julie,

Thank you for hosting this ring--the traffic to my blog has increased significantly since joining it, and I've also discovered a huge knitting community because of it.

After signing up to be a checker, I have a better appreciation for the work it must take to host a ring--and I'm only checking 50 sites!

A fringe benefit from checking part of the ring is being exposed to different blogs on a weekly basis.

Thank you!

Julie

Thanks Janice!!
