Well, with the number of sites already in the ring and the number in the queue there are well over 700. That means it's time to close the ring for a bit until the new sites get settled in. If you still want to join, but don't meet the requirements yet, don't worry! The ring will open again in about a month.

Well, that's it. The queue is cleared out of new applicants. And the weird thing is that the ring is at exactly 700 members!
On another note. . . I'm thinking of posting ring news here. People could email me news items and I would post them here on the ring homepage. This would give me something to post while the ring is closed. News would include things like -- so and so has published a book, so and so has started a charity knitting event, so and so has started a knit-a-long. . . You get the idea. I would want major events, not just day to day stuff. So what do you think?
