Ring Closed to New Members!
I have closed the ring once again. I thought I might be able to leave it open for two weeks, but after only one week I have had almost 300 applications. It's going to take me well over a month to get through all of these (probably two months, considering how busy this time of year is for our family). So I had to shut it down for now.
If you want to apply, but didn't get in this time -- please wait to apply until the ring is open. (All applications received while the ring is closed are deleted.)

That's it for today. Well over 100 people have signed up in the last 2 1/2 days, so please be patient as I work through the huge number of sites! I'll keep the ring open at least until Monday and possibly until the 1st of October.

The Ring is OPEN!!
It's time once again to sign up for the Knitting Blogs Web Ring. Please keep in mind that you must meet the ring requirements before joining. You can find the rules and requirements over in the sidebar if you click on RULES.
I see many people have already signed up. Looks like I'm going to be just as swamped as last time, so be patient -- it may take a while before you are moved from the queue to the ring. I'll do my best to work on the ring a little bit in my free time every day!

Ring will re-open Monday, September 18th!
I hope everyone has had a great summer and found some time for knitting. As the days begin to get shorter and the new yarns and magazines begin to come out, I'm starting to get excited once again about knitting, aren't you? The knitting blogs have been a little quite as they are every summer, but I'm sure that's about to change! And I've decided to open up the ring again for a few weeks beginning September 18th for people who have been wanting to join.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Please do not join before that date! If you do, you will be given an invalid site id.
- You must meet the ring requirements to join. They are posted here. (The rules are posted there too.)
- There will probably be lots of people joining (last time I think there were 400-500 people who joined in the few weeks I had the ring open) so you will need to be patient and look in the FAQ for answers to your questions. I probably won't have time to answer with the rush.
So that's about it for now. I still haven't had time to assign sections to the new ring checkers since I had to go out of town unexpectedly. I hope to get to that next week!
