I used Elann's "Highland Wool" (leftovers from a sweater). To make it a little more spiffy looking, I added a few rows of Lion Brand Fun Fur (color: "Tropical") around the top. (I purled the top, with the Fun Fur held together with the wool). See more at her blog.
