Yay Persepolis! I just reread an interview with Satrapi this morning so it's keen that you mention her today. Have you read any of James Kochalka's American Elf? Not a novel in the traditional sense, but a wonderful weaving together of small moments. I'm definitely a fan.

Persepolis looks really intriguing. I've been looking for my first graphic novel, and this might just be the one.

Comics, especially the ones that aren't simply just for laughs, are a good way to encourage young readers. My parents never really stopped me & my siblings from reading them, and later we all became big readers... and artists too haha. Happy BTT!

I'm just getting into the genre. Thank for the recs! :)
