I recently started collecting vintage pyrex and, if you're anything like me, you have a large collection.

That is awesome. Yes their is great people out their for sure. Weed out the bad ones. Love your bowls. I found a great deal last weekend. I drove past a house with things outside on the curb. I had to go back because it looked like a plant holder/table. NO, it was a foldable table with the umbrella and 4 chairs. All in perfect condition. Guess they just didn't want it. I grabbed it of course. Could use a little paint but all works and has wheels. It was my night for driving by this house. Have a Great Week!!

That's too cool that they would send you that book! So nice.

Like to bowls too.

That is a great reference book! There is so much info available on the web that I got rid of a lot of my reference books but definitely kept that one and use it! How sweet of her to send it to you!

love the bowls! any idea how old? they look older than the ones I got for my wedding shower in 1972

I have an edition of that book, too. Great one!

I have also been blessed with the generosity of a fellow blogger. It really does prove that there are indeed some wonderful people in blogland. I think there must be some stinkers, too, but for the most part I've encountered only the sweet!

The bowls are very cool as is the book.

You're so welcome. I love books, and I love people who love books and play with fiber and make cool stuff with their kids and know good chocolate...

I have this book too - it's a great reference. I found some great old bowls the other week too but they're made by Federal Glass - the orange ones are so bright and cheery - http://jillslittlebit.blogspot.com/2011/08/lobster-dishes-and-dessert-dishes.html
